  1. Uninstall instructions:
  2. =======================
  3. These are instructions to completely uninstall the DeskScan II version 2.0
  4. application from your computer:
  5.  
  6.  
  7.   1) Make a backup copy of your AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, and
  8.      SYSTEM.INI files.
  9.  
  10.   2) From DOS (not from a DOS shell under Windows) do the following:
  11.      a) If any of these lines are present in your SYSTEM.INI file,
  12.         remove them:
  13.  
  14.         DEVICE=...WIN400I.386         For Windows version 3.1
  15.         DEVICE=...HPSCANR.386         For Windows version 3.1
  16.  
  17.      b) If any of the following lines are present in your CONFIG.SYS
  18.         file, remove them:
  19.  
  20.         DEVICE=...MINI400I.SYS
  21.         DEVICE=...SJIIX.SYS
  22.         DEVICE=...SJII.SYS
  23.         DEVICE=...SJDRIVER.SYS
  24.  
  25.      c) Remove the directory where DeskScan II version 2.0 was installed
  26.         from the PATH= or  SET PATH=line in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

  28.      d) Delete the following file from your WINDOWS\TWAIN directory:
  29.         HPDSII.DS
  30.  
  31.      e) Delete all of the files in the directory where DeskScan II
  32.         version 2.0 was installed.
  33.  
  34.      f) Remove the directory where DeskScan II version 2.0 was installed.
  35.  
  36.   3) From the Windows Program Manager:
  37.      a) Delete the Program Manager Group where DeskScan II 2.0 was
  38.         installed.
  39.  
  40.   4) DeskScan II version 2.0 has been successfully removed from your
  41.      computer.
